Bank Connect is implementing technical changes as part of the future payment infrastructure
In 2025, significant changes will occur in payments through Bank Connect due to updated legal requirements for domestic instant clearing and foreign payments. The changes will take effect in April and November 2025.
Bank Connect will not change ISO20022 pain.001.001.03, but payments at Bankdata, BEC, and SDC will be processed according to the new requirements.
Domestic Instant Transfers: Changed Requirements from Easter 2025
From Easter 2025, there will be increased requirements for an instant transfer:
- The recipient's name MUST be filled in.
- The advisory text can be a maximum of 140 characters.
- Additionally, the field for 'short text on recipient's account', which until now has been up to 20 characters, will disappear.
Foreign Transfers: Changed Requirements from November 23, 2025
- It will become mandatory to fill in the structured address fields.
- The recipient's name MUST be filled in.
Domestic Instant Transfers: Changed Requirements from November 23, 2025
- Unstructured addresses can no longer be used.
